Baishakhi Mela 2005

Tour & Security Management looked after over 80000 people who attended this years Baishakhi Mela. With festivities in the East of London`s vibrant Brick Lane, activities in Allen Gardens and a large stage  full of musical talent in Weavers Field this was one event not to miss.

The Mela from it`s humble beginings has grown to be what is considered the 3rd biggest festival in the UK and the biggest outside of Bangladesh.

Faithless Faithful

Tour & Security Management looked after over 500 guests during the Faithless "secret location" gig organised by Sony / BMG on behalf of Sony Ericsson.

The guests had been receiving text messages all week relating to the winning of a limited amount of tickets and where to meet but the location remained a well kept secret until 1 hour before the event, then once disclosed all descended upon the ever increasingly popular Trocadero Centre in London`s West End for a truly eventful night of partying and entertainment.

Danson Festival 2005 another success story

Danson Festival 2005, which took place on Saturday 3rd and Sunday the 4th of July, was again hailed as a huge success.  The organisation of this particular festival normally starts 10 months before the event, from planning, infrastructure, security/stewarding, traffic management and countless other tasks. The event security and stewarding was coordinated by Tour & Security Management in conjunction with Bexley Council and their hardcore of volunteer workers, all of which made the event a memorable one for years to come.

A Yahoo Party

BT Yahoo recently held a party for over 600 guests and staff at the London Trocadero. With the 3rd floor laid out very much like a scene from paradise with palm trees, sand, decking and bars with added entertainment from two bands and a guest DJ, certainly a night that sent every one home having literally had a yahoo night.

Thamesmead Summer Festival

Tour & Security Management were in attendance at the first ever Thamesmead Festival held in Birchmere Park.

Thousands attended the event on Saturday 16th of July to see a stage line up of artists such as Alexander O`Neal, Liberty X and many more.

There was plenty of entertainment for all the family with a fairground, community dance stage and various stalls, no doubt next years event will be even bigger and better.

Royal Attendance

Tuesday 26th July 2005 saw Bexleyheath play host to a royal visit from the Queen, who formally opened the newly refurbished Crook Log Leisure Centre followed by a reception at the near by newly restored Danson House.

Tour & Security Management were contracted to oversee the royal visit in which thousands lined the street and the leisure centre’s surrounding car parks.

Vertical Battle Commences...

The atmosphere was electric; as over 5,000 enthused fans flocked to Old Market Square in Nottingham for the very first Red Bull Vertical Battle on Saturday 30th July 2005, to witness ten of the best skateboarders and BMX’ers compete on Europe’s largest vert ramp to the backdrop of live music from Kerrang!

Tour & Security Management looked after all aspects of crowd management and security whilst ensuring the safety of the public during the build up and the show.

As the night drew to a close, crowds were treated to live music from rockers ‘Days of Worth’ as they performed a selection of tracks in a mini-gig hosted by Kerrang exclusively for the event.

Caribbean Showcase - the precedent is set...

The Mayor's Caribbean Showcase took place on Monday 29 August 2005, as part of the weekend's Notting Hill Carnival festivities. This free family event was designed to complement the traditional parade, stages and sound-systems that take place in the heart of Notting Hill. It attracted an estimated 15,000 people throughout the day, a mix of people of all ages and backgrounds - kids, students, older people and family groups.

Tour & Security management were responsible for all the security and stewarding and ensured the Caribbean Showcase provided a family-friendly environment for promoting Caribbean arts, culture, enterprise and cuisine, with plenty of time for people to enjoy the Carnival in Notting Hill as well.

Red Bull do Notting Hill Carnival...

Red Bull staged a two day event within the Notting Hill Carnival footprint.

Tour and Security Management were resposible for all security and stewarding on the event which was held in Emslie Horniman Plesance.

The event attracted a capacity crowd who were overwhelmed by the awesome dance techniques put together on stage during the Break Masterz compitition.

Brick Lane Festival, 10 glorious years...

The 10th Brick Lane Festival was held on Sunday on 11th September 2005 with an estimated attendance of 40000 people attending through out the day.

From the traditional al fresco curry houses along Brick Lane to the main stage entertainment in Allen Gardens and the Sow East fashion show in the Truman Brewery, not even the dull and drizzly weather could dampen the spirits of everyone that came. 

Tour & Security management were responsible for all of the stewarding and security ensuring the highest standard of public safety possible.

Rail Storm Trafalgar Square...

On Sunday 20th November 2005, Tour & Security Management were responsible for the security and stewarding of the Red Bull Rail Storm event in London`s Trafalgar Square with 145 staff in attendance.

Spirits rose, even as the temperature plummeted to below zero, as more than 8,000 ecstatic fans packed into the London landmark, whilst hundreds more craned to see through the gaps in the fence line.

Trafalgar Square, no stranger to sporting celebration, was transformed into a unique mini-alpine scene, with a 60 foot ski slope, oversized staircase and handrails, and 66 tonnes of real snow, made on-site overnight.

The event attracted 36 top snowboarders from all over the globe; including the best from Iceland, Russia, Finland and the UK.

Madame Tussauds hosted over 30 events and Christmas Parties over the November and December months.

Businesses from all over the globe were welcomed by staff from Tour & Security Management and the Madame Tussauds Event Team who pulled out all the stops to make the events and parties a memorable occasion for years to come.

A Trocadero Christmas...

The Ultimate Experience hosted over 30 Christmas events and parties at the London Trocadero.

The challenge of holding events over 4 floors was planned to precision by all involved. From the Trocadero Management, The Ultimate, Tour & Security Management and various other agencies, party goers were treated to a Christmas experience with various around the world themes and live entertainment from two stages, parties that will be remembered for a long time to come.

Party into the New Year...

Kick for a 6 Nations ticket...

Tour & Security Management looked after hundreds of eager rugby fans who took part in the RBS Kick for a 6 Nations ticket competition which took place in Trafalgar Square on Friday 27th January.

All who took part came away with a prize and were entered in the draw for the RBS 6 Nations tickets.

Fashion February...

February saw the designer label Aquascutum come to Victoria House in London`s Blooomsbury Square, to showcase in London Fashion Week.

Tour & Security Management were brought in to oversee the arrival of hundreds of eager fashion critics, guests and buyers.

Tour & Security Management assisted with the launch of the new "You" magazine. The launch party was held at the ever popular London Trocadero.

Hundreds of guests were treated to an evening of drinks and cocktails at the launch of the magazine which cleared the display shelves as the evening came to an end.

Ride of a lifetime...

On Tuesday 21st March 2006, hundreds of eager party planners were greeted by staff from Tour & Security Management at Thorpe Park for the opening of the biggest thrill ride in Europe "The Stealth"

At nearly freezing temperatures, spirits were as high as the ride as guests returned to earth and continued to party in the newly created Lake View marquee.

Wednesday 22rd March, over 500 guests were looked after by Tour & Security Management as Top Shop bought their "Unique" fashion range to the heart of the West End.

Guests were in fine spirits after the fashion show as they danced the night away and refreshed themselves with cocktails.

St George`s Day...

Tour & Security Management were contracted in for the GLA`s English Cultural Icons celebrations, one of which was a tribute to Charlie Chaplin.

Hundreds of people could not be detered by poor weather and turned out in force in the West End`s Leicester Square for an afternoon of Charlie Chaplin movies playing on a large screen, with children being entertained in the Chaplin workshop where they were dressed up and face painted to look like charlie himself.

FHM`s 100 beautiful women...

FHM held their top100 beautiful womens awards on the 3rd of May 2006 at Madame Tussauds.

Tour & Security Management were responsible for the guest list and security of all who attended.

With 300 guests and various celebrities, media photographers will have taken enough pictures to fill the tabloids for a month.

Billion Dollar Babes...

Tour & Security Management were brought in by Billion Dollar Babes on the 5th & 6th of May 2006 to oversee the security of their world famous fashion outlet.

With over 80 well known designers, the Royal Horticultural Halls were full to the brim within minutes of the doors opening,with eager shoppers hoping to get the bargain of a lifetime.

Baishakhi Mela 2006...

Sunday 14th May 2006 saw the biggest ever turn out for the Baishakhi Mela in its 9 year history, with an estimated 95`000 people attending throughout the day. The Baishakhi Mela is now firmly in the major event category and said to be the second biggest event held in the capital’s streets.

 

With over 200 staff on the day, Tour & Security Management were tasked with the safe keeping of the public, two stages and an event area covering over 4 miles.

Boodles, The Wimbledon Warm up....

Tour & Security Management were contracted in for the security on the Boodles 2006 Challenge.

The 5 day event from 20th to 24th June, was attended by many players in the run up to Wimbledon, with past ledgends such as Andre Agassi and many more up and coming players who will be playing Wimbledon this year.

Danson Festival 2006...

On the 1st & 2nd of July 2006 Tour and Security Management were responsible for security and stewarding at the Danson Festival.

The festival is estimated to grow in attendance by 10% each year. This years crowd was estimated at 30000 people attending throughout  the  weekend.

The main stage arena was full to capacity, with Peter Andre getting the crowds going with all his old favourites, finishing off a weekend of fun for all.

Thamesmead Festival 2006...

The second Thamesmead Festival was held on the 15th July 2006 with over 20000 people attending throughout the day.

Tour & Security Management were responsible for the security & stewarding for the event, which hosted several X Factor groups and singers who entertained the crowd well into the evening as the sun went down.

Caribbean Showcase 2006...

Stars from the world of film and music were out in force on Thursday 21st September for one of the highlights of London Fashion Week.

Actor Leonardo DiCaprio, rapper 50 Cent and singers Bono and Beyonce Knowles trod the red carpet as they arrived in London to watch the latest collection from Italian designer Armani.

Climate Change, Stop the Chaos...

An estimated 22000 plus people descended on London's Trafalgar Square on Saturday the 4th November 2006 to call for urgent action on climate change.

Tour & Security Management were responsible for the overall security and co-ordination of 135 staff for the free event organised by the Stop Climate Chaos Coalition which took place on the eve of global climate talks in Nairobi.

High profile supporters such as Razorlight and K T Tunstall gave a superb performance in support and were well received by the masses attending.

On Saturday 4th November 2006, Cassiobury Park played host to Watford's annual display, run this year by Watford Borough Council. The event had additional entertainment by professional fire performers and was attended by an estimated 20,000 People.
